Debt settlement is a program aimed at getting creditors to agree to a lump sum pay off for a reduced amount in full settlement of a debt.
We negotiate with your creditor and if the creditor agrees to really lower the amount that a consumer owes, we settle it with a lump sum payment. In turn the creditor agrees to
report to the credit bureaus that the consumer no longer owes them anything. As an example, a client who owes $10,000 may pay as little as $4,000 to settle the debt.

How Does This Work? |

You save an agreed to amount each month in your personal checking or savings account. Funds in your
account accumulate to the amount needed to pay off your creditor. Once the amounted needed is there we get a letter of settlement from the
creditor which states in writing the payment you send them will settle the card debt.

This process is done on a one by one basis from the smallest to the largest debt usually over three years.
It can be less if you want to accelerate the process. This process continues until all of your creditors have been paid off.

What Are My Other Options?

- Why bother - my credit score is screwed anyway.
- Obtain a loan to pay off the debt.
- Get a loan when your credit score is zero? Unh Hunh. Yeah right.
- Credit Counseling Services
- Funded in part by card companies you pay back the balance due plus interest and your payments will be for as long as 5-7 years.
- Bankruptcy
- Bankruptcy is a last resort for anyone to consider. The public record will always be there but on your credit report for up to 10 years.
If a pay back plan is worked out it will take you up to 5 years for a pay off. Plus you may have to have to pay for a mandated court appointed trustee.
